Taken from the first level of the Castello toward the Piazza. Note the back side of the Duomo along the left edge of the picture.


Retired men sitting outside a "labor hall" just opposite the Duomo. Each day it was the same men in the same chairs sitting outside the doors. The inside of the hall was filled with men sitting at the tables playing cards and from the sound of the laughter, telling stories.
